ENNIS performed at this years St. John’s Metro Relay for Life.

At mid-night, all the lights were turned off and the Field House was illuminated by the many candles that were placed in luminary bags around the room. There was a special slide show honoring the survivors as well as remembering those who had lost their battle with cancer.

We were honored to perform “Sing You Home” during the Luminary ceremony.

We wanted to share this performance with you even though the video quality isn’t the greatest because of the low lighting.

We want to thank Susan Brocklehurst for taking the video for us.

We want to thank Angela LeBlanc for inviting us to play at the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this year.

We hope this song brings comfort to anyone who needs it during their time of grief.

I just want to take a second to thank Pam Hoddinott for asking us to perform at the CAVR/NLAVR conference. We had a lovely time performing for everyone. It was a great way to spend a Tuesday evening.

Karen got up to her usual foolishness. She told a few jokes that I have heard a million times but she also told a few that caught Mark and me completely by surprise. I never saw the Willie Nelson hair bit coming at all. I found it just as funny as everyone there.  Poor Mark. He really is a good sport and he’s very funny too.

We sang for about 45 minutes and ENNIS performed a new song called “Rise Up Winds” written by Mark Murphy and me. ( I take a moment to explain why we wrote the song in the video.)

“Rise Up Winds” is in it’s trial period to see if it’s going to make our next CD.
